The Importance of Family

Every family has a story…..Welcome to ours…

The Importance of Family ….

Everybody has a family; some are born into theirs while others are chosen. Families are a link to the past and a bridge to our future. Love overflows and joy never ends in a home that’s blessed with family and friends.

Desmond Tutu said “You don’t choose your family; they are God’s gift to you.” A family isn’t about whose blood you carry but about whom you love and who loves you back.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.”

Take a second and think about your family…what is your family like? What would you change if you could? Do you spend enough time together? What kind of family are you creating for your children and grandchildren? Are you creating a safe haven? Are you creating a home filled with love and respect or is there anger and hatred?

Luke 12:34 “For where your treasure is, there will be your heart also.”

Time spent with family should be worth every second and a place where good memories are made. Family is where good values are not only taught but shown as well, where life begins and love never ends.

Proverbs 13:24 “Those who love their children, care enough to discipline them.”

The meaning of family:

Father And Mother I Love You

Joshua 24:15 “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” They say that a family that prays together stays together. God placed man to be the head of the house….who is the head of your family?

Joshua 6:4 “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”

God’s instruction for each family is simple: John 15:12-13 “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down your life for one’s friends.”

So why is love so important?

Romans 12:10 “Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honoring each other.”

1 John 4:19 “We love because He first loved us.”

1 Timothy 5:8 “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”

Colossians 3:13 “Bear with each other and forgive one another, if any of you has a grievance against someone, forgive as the Lord forgave you.”

So how are we to teach values to our children? Here at King’s Kid Crèche we treat each child and their parents like a family member.  We might not always agree on things but we work together for each child to have a good foundation which leads to a good strong future.

Exodus 20:12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.”

We believe it’s important our children know how important it is to love their mom’s and dad’s, to listen to them and respect them.

Proverbs 6:20 “My son, keep your father’s command and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.”

Proverbs 22:6 “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it.”

Rules to consider for every family that we at King’s Kid Crèche try to live by:

Always be honest            Proverbs 12: 22

Forgive and forget          Micah 7:18

Be kind hearted               Ephesians 4:32

Keep your promises       Romans 4:21

Work hard                          Colossians 3:23

Be Thankful                       1 Thessalonians 5:18

Never give up                    Philippians 4:13

               And most importantly

Love one another            1 Peter 1:22

Psalm 127:3-5 “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.”
